A Land of Many Contrasts
After a long search, we have found a further wind paradise, this time in the state of Ceará, northern Brazil. Preá is the name of the small, unspoilt fishing village near Jericoacoara. The beach is huge, the spot ideal for kitesurfing, with winds that blow all day long with a force of 5 - 7 Bft (17 – 33 knots) from June to January.
With an area of 8.5 mill. sq km (3.2 mill. sq mi), Brazil is the fifth largest country in the world and almost half the size of the entire continent of South America. The biodiversity of this fascinating country is breathtaking. Those who are interested in wild life will be stunned by the almost countless species of birds, butterflies and reptiles. Brazil is a land of many contrasts: flooded forests and arid steppes, colonial architecture and architectural insanity in Brasília, materialism and spiritism, poverty and wealth.
In general, the Brazilians are described as a very proud, religious people who love festivals and dancing, and have a spontaneous, lively nature. Discover this fascinating and unique country: Brazil, land of samba rhythms, caipirinhas, 30 degrees the whole year round.
