A number of airlines fly to Fortaleza.
TAP flies from Lisbon every day and runs connecting flights to Lisbon from all major cities. Other airlines such as TAM or Lufthansa, Air France etc. also fly to Fortaleza, but not directly. As of November, Edelweiss Airline will be flying from Zurich.

A Dutch charter company, Arke Fly, can be booked via QXXL for flights from Amsterdam,. Charter flights to Fortaleza are also available from Verona/ Milan, Italy. A number of airlines fly directly to Fortaleza from the USA.
The distance between Fortaleza and Jeri is about 320 km, the transfer from Fortaleza to Preá and Jericoacoara takes approx. 4 hours by jeep. Apart from organized transfers, one can also take a bus travelling from Rodoviario (bus station) in Fortaleza to Jeri and transfer to a truck in Jijoca for the remaining stretch; this trip takes about 6 – 7 hours, i.e. much longer than a private transfer directly from Fortaleza Airport to Jeri and Preá.
