Location
Gran Canaria is the main island of the canaries. The island is located in the Atlantic area of Micronesia, which is composed of the archipelagos Madeira, Salvajes, the Azores, Cape Verde and a part of Morocco. The African coast is about 210 kilometres away, the distance between Gran Canaria and Cadiz, which is the nearest harbour on the European continent, is about 1250 kilometres.
Within the Canadian archipelago Gran Canaria is located between the island Fuerteventura (about 83 kilometres east) and Tenerife (about 62 kilometres west).

Climate/clothing
The climate on Gran Canaria is considered to be one of the healthiest in the whole world by international scientists. With its average temperatures fluctuating between 18 and 25 degrees, Gran Canaria is also called the island of eternal spring.
Thus, light cotton clothing is the best choice. During spring and autumn pullover and jacket are recommended for the cooler evenings.

Transfer
A rental car is recommended, since we cannot organise the transfer from the airport. A taxi from the airport to Bahía Feliz costs about 20 Euros.
