Location: The Riad al Medina is situated deep in the heart of the Medina, 200 m from the long sandy beach of Essaouira and a good 20 minutes on foot from the Club Mistral centre.

Amenities and facilities: This picturesque hotel is located in the old city, the Medina, of Essaouira. You can rest assured: you won't forget your stay at this unique hotel in a hurry. The old building was erected in the traditional style in 1871 and still retains its original appearance and charm. The large central courtyard is typical of an old riad (wealthy merchant's home); here you can enjoy your breakfast at one of the tastefully arranged tables. With its pretty fountains, flowers and plants, the courtyard has been transformed into an enchanting oasis. The hotel's 54 rooms, each of them individually and tastefully furnished in typical Moroccan style, overlook the central courtyard. From the roof terrace of the hotel, one has a unique view of the Medina, souks, mosque and large square.

Standard rooms: the 36 spacious double rooms have either large double beds or twin beds plus their own bathroom with shower and toilet. The rooms are all individually decorated and very tastefully furnished in typical Moroccan style. A TV is available on request.

Riad Suite: Consists of a large room plus living room with seating, phone, satellite TV and radio.
Ambassador Suite: This suite is the right choice for those who like to have lots of space and are looking for a taste of luxury. It can accommodate up to 3 persons. It has a split-level design and a large living room, romantic bedroom and extra bed in the entrance area. There is also a bathroom and private terrace.

Royal Suite: This suite is predestined for honeymooners. On the bottom floor there is a living room with table and couch and on the upstairs level, which is reached via an open staircase, a large double bed and private terrace. Naturally the suite also has its own bathroom, satellite TV, radio and phone. It is particularly attractively furnished and is intended to accommodate 2 persons.
