 With 11 years Moritz was the youngest participant of the event.
At the beginning the wind was not yet strong enough for the usual Pozo action.

Therefore the younger windsurfers of Pozo Izquierdo were sent onto the water for an expression session. In this group the 2 promising Pozo Locals Omar and Jose with almost 16 years met Alessio (12 years) and Moritz (11 years).

Both of them form the Gran Canaria Youngster Team, which is supported from NORTH SAILS since last year. After the wind picked at the last day up to the usual 25+ knots those 4 brave boys could even improve the show from the day before. Omar und Jose were showing various front- and back loops and Alessio and Moritz were scoring with nice waveriding, various maneouvres and some loop attemps.
The judges were impressed by the level of all of them and put them all on first place. So everybody of the 4 received a trophy and some nice presents.
Also fort he „big“ windsurfers the organisation managed to finish a complete single elimination. The action shown was on top world cup level, there were not only the best canarian windurfers, but also some from the spanish mainland and some international riders.

The victory and the price money of 750€ were gained deservedly by local DarÌo Ojeda. He scored well with double loops and powerful waveriding and took advantage of sailing the spot since many years already.
