On Gran Canaria the wind and wave conditions can be sometimes a bit more challenging for windsurfing beginners. Especially when the waves are getting a bit higher and the wind is getting stronger children and youngsters might have difficulties.

Over the last years we made very good experiences, to integrate other water toys like stand-up-paddleboards (SUP), boogies, surfboards or ocean kayaks for several reasons:

• the children and youngsters gain confidence and experience
• they learn more about the waves and the sea
• they build up strength and endurance

In the past students and instructors also spent quite some time waiting for the right wind and wave conditions. We also know the fact: especially children are not joining our courses exclusively to learn windsurfing but also to have fun on the water and on the beach. As a conclusion of these facts a new teaching idea was born: the “oCEAN kIDs” week.

The main idea is to have a mix of various watersports like windsurfing, stand-up-paddle, boogie boards, surf, and kayaks together with a variety of beach games. Kids and youngsters can make friends with the ocean in an easy and safe way together with other “oCEAN kIDs”.



Instead of just waiting for the right conditions to teach windsurf we better use the time enjoying other beach- and watersports to be prepared when wind and waves are perfect.

Important: the “oCEAN kIDs” week is not a pure windsurfing course but more kind of general watersport training, combined with beach games and fun activities. Therefore we need minimum 3 to 4 kids to start the “oCEAN kIDs” week.

The “oCEAN kIDs” week will take place daily from Monday to Friday for 4 hours a day (10:00 a.m. until 02:00 p.m.) all summer long from beginning of July until end of August at CLUB MISTRAL Bahía Feliz. 5 times half day (20 hours) for only 150€ per child. The “oCEAN kIDs” weeks are only bookable on site!
