With a 3 km long sandy beach, flat water and very constant winds it is one of the best kite-surfing spots in the worldCoche Island is an amazing spot for kite surfing. For years now kite-surfers from El Yaque have enjoy the perfect flat water and, up until now, we organized daytrips from Isla Margarita to Isla Coche. Now you can spend your entire vacation on the island. As you look out to sea the Skyriders Centre is situated on the left hand side of the Coche Paradise Hotel, close to the new Kite lodges.

In the morning the wind averages about 12 knots before picking up to around 25 knots in the afternoon. As the wind is offshore it’s great for learning and practicing jumps. There are no shallow areas, but the spot is perfectly save, as several rescue boats operate throughout the day to guarantee your safety. The place is awesome.

We teach anyone from beginners to experts. We support our private and advanced lessons with a Sony digital video camera in a waterproof casing in order to aid the learning process. The spot is divided into two parts: The left part for tuition and rental and the right part for experts. Where they can take full advantage of the slider park.

A rescue boat is on standby for the students during their lessons. We also offer a rescue package and storage facilities for advanced kite-surfer.

As is typical of all our Skyriders stations, full range of the latest North Kiteboarding kit will be available.

You have three options concerning your holiday accommodation: You can either have a relaxing stay at Coche Paradise Hotel. There isn’t much to do on the island asides taking a tour around the place or visiting the fishing village San Pedro. For those who need a little more action, a choice of restaurants and somewhere to party, we recommend staying in El Yaque and using the shuttle boat (20 min.), which operates from 9am till 1pm in the and continues at 4.30 pm in the afternoon, till late. The last option would be a combination - you combine the El Yaque Paradise Hotel and the Coche Paradise Hotel and enjoy a mixture of Margaritan activities and Cochean relaxation.
