22|05|09 +++ Center Managers Meeting 2009

Once again we had our annual Center Managers Meeting from May 03-09.
This time it took place in Garmisch Partenkirchen, in the middle of the mountains, far away from civilization.
For some it was kind of a cultural shock, for others a visit of their homeland – but for all it was definitely an amazing time surrounded by breathtaking scenery!
All in all 18 center managers came from all over the world to Garmisch, as well as our Head Office team,  our Travel People team, plus some special guests – Mistral shaper Anders Bringdal and Mistral Managing Director Ado Huismann – so there was a huge group coming together.
During the whole week we had a quite tight schedule;
a lot of talks about what has happened last year and about what might happen next year, about new developments, changes and expectations.
During a meeting with Boards & More we found out about new developments in the hardware section and it´s just amazing what the guys come up with…one thing is for sure;
year by year the equipment is getting better and thanks to that it´s getting easier and easier to have a great time on the water!!

Apart from all the talks and meetings we definitely made sure there was still time for fun and pleasure;
a mountain bike tour which was great fun but which also made some people walk in a really strange way the next day, hiking through the beautiful nature surrounding our conference hotel and of course some “drinking evenings”, turning into huge parties thanks to our “French Connection”….
However the outstanding highlight was our evening on a hut, called “Elmauer Alm”, high up in the mountains.

Our motto was “Pure, 100% Bavaria” and apart from a lot of typical Bavarian beer we also had typical Bavarian food and two big Bavarian musicians, yodelling and playing proper Bavarian music, creating a great atmosphere!

What a fantastic evening…
All in all the whole week was just a great time;
very productive, informative and interesting – and thanks to an amazing group of people all fun and lots of laughter!
