07|06|11 +++ Travel Report Safaga

We took advantage of being in Egypt and also visited our wind and kite surf center in Safaga. By taxi it took us only 3 hours to drive from Shams Alam to Safaga where we visited the brand new 5 star hotel Shams Prestige.

In Safaga you have a huge and wide bay and our windsurfing center is located downwind and the kite surf center is 7 walking minutes upwind.

Safaga is an excellent spot to combine wind and kite surfing at the same place with enough space for everybody.

Safaga is a very common destination for wind and kite surfers and really benefits from the very nice and new Hotel Shams Prestige.

Those looking for a higher standard in accommodation will be very pleased to have this choice now.

The Shams Prestige is located next to the Skyriders Center and only 7 walking minutes from the Club Mistral Center. This small hotel has a very nice and calm atmosphere with fantastic service and excellent food. The 25 standard and 42 superior rooms are in one or 2 storey buildings. The nicest rooms are in the first rows which are immediately at the beach and you can relax in your private jacuzzi while looking out to the sea. The all inclusive concept is unique with breakfast, lunch and dinner and all non alcoholic and local alcoholic drinks included. Lunch and dinner is A La Carte so you can always enjoy the service of the very friendly staff. All rooms are surrounded by very nice gardens.
The superior rooms are spacious with about 64qm and a big terrace. If you are looking for more privacy you should take the superior rooms in the 3rd row - we are pleased to forward your wishes to reception when you book with us.
The dinner is A La Carte and they change the menu daily but there is still the main menu available in case the daily menu is not to your liking. Once a week they also offer a BBQ.
This hotel really won our recognition with its calm atmosphere and great service.
