Our Member of the Month for April is an Italian-born South American … Javier Candotti!

Javier lives with his parents in the South American metropolis of Buenos Aires - Argentinia's steamy, bustling capital. He loves windsurfing and, after deciding to look for a job in this sector, found employment with us, together with his friend Bela (who works for Club Mistral in Gargano and Safaga). He first worked at our Tarifa centre, where he gathered initial experience and impressions. Impressed by our system, he decided that he would like to work at further Club Mistral centres.

René then sent him to Safaga, and it wasn't long before we were receiving positive feedback - from Centre Managers Wolfgang and Ulla, too - regarding his courses and manner towards guests.

Javier is an extremely charming person, who succeeds in making both male and female guests especially welcome, one of the main reasons being, without doubt, that he speaks as many as 5 languages! This helps to make people feel extremely well cared for and in the best of hands.

Women in particular (including those here at Head Office) go into raptures about his irresistible smile - which makes the sun rise and the snow melt - and his winning ways. His modest charm, coupled with a sense of responsibility and committed assistance during lessons, make him a model instructor. Children are especially taken with him - they love his lively, fun-packed courses and so it isn't long before they start making great progress!

We are very happy that he will be managing our Ras Sudr centre next season and know that we have found a superb employee in Javier, who will perform his tasks in an exemplary manner.

Besides windsurfing, Javier has meanwhile also become an assiduous kitesurfer and thoroughly enjoys this new sport - understandably, because the wonderful beaches of Coche and El Yaque are a dream for every kitesurfer.

When asked about Javier, everybody speaks of him as an unbelievably loveable, pleasant person, always ready to lend an ear and friendly and attentive to everyone - doubtless partly a consequence of his cosmopolitan lifestyle. However, there is one South American ritual that he observes no matter where he is in the world: drinking Mate tea - he swears by it.

We think Javier is one of our best instructors and would like to thank him for all the new surfers who learned this sport with him and became such enthusiasts that they have returned again and again to Club Mistral. Inspiring enthusiasm in others is a rare gift -- and Javier certainly has more than his fair share of this talent!
