Rachid is the only member of the team at the Club Mistral centre in Essaouira to have been born and bred in the town of Essaouira itself, the only genuine "local".
He loves his native town and takes repeated pleasure in showing guests and friends around the town he grew up in. When it comes to hospitality, this country is truly unique.

Rachid started kitesurfing in 2000, being one of the first to do so in Essaouira. As a result of his years of kitesurfing experience and great love of this sport, he has become an excellent kitesurfer and kitesurfing instructor.
Rachid is a skilled teacher and still highly motivated in his work. He particularly enjoys dealing with people and passing on his knowledge to others.

In 2005, he obtained his IKO Instructor's Certificate and is now a Level 2 IKO Instructor.

With his friendly, very polite and obliging manner, Rachid is extremely popular with both the team and his guests.
Like many Moroccans, Rachid has a talent for languages and, besides Arabic and French, also speaks fluent English and even understands and speaks some German.

Rachid has spent some time in Switzerland. Although he is certain that he would like to spend his life in Essaouira in the long run, he has expressed a wish to work at another Club Mistral centre in order to gather even more experience.
The team at Head Office is doing its best to fulfil this wish for him but finding it quite hard to so because of the visa regulations in the various countries.

Rachid, we hope you will remain with Club Mistral for a long time to come. Please stay just as you are!

The Head Office team is already looking forward to its next visit to Essaouira in May 2006.
