Baba has been a member of the Club Mistral team on Mauritius since 2005. He is Mauritian by birth and his proper first name is Jean José, but everyone calls him Baba, which means "woman" in Russian. Perhaps the nickname "Baba", or "Babita", as he is also known, is connected with the fact that he is the heartthrob of many "women".
Baba is reliable, always motivated and a boon to the team on Mauritius. He is responsible for service and surfboard tuition and also for the rescue service, being one of the best and safest sailors on the island, who knows the spot, currents and reef like the palm of his hand.

Baba is a very good windsurfer and surfboard rider and enjoys passing his skills on to our guests, with whom he is very popular - as also with the team, of course. Endowed with a cheerful nature, he is in a good mood and ready for a joke at all times and has an infectious, broad grin on his face.
Baba is always somewhere nearby and partying with him is great fun.
 
His dog "Rouge", a cross between a dachshund and a boxer, is his constant companion.

Last winter, Baba visited his girl friend in Austria and with his natural talent for sports had no difficulty in learning how to snowboard, a completely new sport for him, which he mastered within only a few hours. Although he found it a bit cold in Austria in the beginning, he enjoyed himself nevertheless and became a great snowboarder in no time.

One of his hobbies Is going out fishing in his boat at night. It is always an experience to accompany him on one of these trips; even if the catch is sometimes too small to supply everyone In the boat with fish, it is nevertheless Instructive for guests, as Baba knows the names of every single type of fish.
