Alexis is one of Club Mistral's youngest employees and is also known as the 'Little Prince'. Although not the sort of person to set his sights on the impossible, Alexis always achieves what he sets out to do. He is just the right person for Club Mistral and a great lover of life. Besides that, he's an all-rounder in sport and has a wonderful personality.
 
Alexis grew up on the holiday island of Corsica, where he spent a childhood that many people dream of. He was fortunate enough to live in his element from the very beginning, surrounded by the sea, which played an important role in his and his family's life.
From his father, Gregory, who worked at a windsurf school in summer, Alexis learnt to windsurf and sail early in life. He grew up where others spend their vacation, in a holiday village in the south of Corsica, surrounded by nature, good spirits and sunshine. His mother, Isabelle, is from France and his father an American, so Alexis and his brother, Pierre, grew up speaking two languages. Alexis learned German with his friends at La Chiappa holiday village. By the time he was 5, Alexis already spoke 3 languages fluently. He has meanwhile added Italian to the list and is now learning Spanish. His love of languages, the sea, nature and people made Alexis keen to get to know the rest of the world and it wasn't long before this wish came true. He made up his mind to study languages after his school leaving certificate and subsequently went travelling during his semester holidays and visited his friend Daniel in 2005, who was working for Club Mistral on Mauritius as a kitesurfing instructor. Alexis learned to kitesurf from Daniel and soon discovered that this was exactly the life he dreamt of.
After a few days, he could ride upwind and it wasn't long before he was attempting high jumps… When he wasn't kitesurfing, he was in the waves at Manawa on his windsurfing board or in One-Eye.
Alexis is an incredibly fast learner; he is not only a talented linguist but also extremely well coordinated. After a month on Mauritius, he returned home, gave up his studies, spent the winter in France at a ski resort and then applied for a job as a windsurfing instructor with Club Mistral.
 
As we have said, Alexis is a real natural talent, whether in the waves or freestyling. He is an allrounder who has a complete command of all 3 sports.
In November 2005, he completed his VDWS windsurfing instructor's course and a few months later also received his kitesurfing instructor's certificate.
 
Alexis is also a great enrichment for his colleagues. He's a friendly, helpful person, loyal, enthusiastic and always in a good mood. He always has a few more surprises up his sleeve for guests and colleagues, as he has additional talents such as playing the guitar and cooking excellent food.
 
After an initial, successful season in Ras Sudr (Egypt) and a winter season on Cape Verde, his dream will come true in April, when he flies to Mauritius to work for Skyriders / Club Mistral and ride down a few perfect waves at the same time.
