Hamid was born in Essaouira and he is a very enthusiastic surfer at the age of 10. From that time he has spend every free moment in the sea surfing.
Passing by the Club Mistral center in Essaouira for the first time at the age of 13, Hamid was immediately fascinated by water sports, especially kitesurfing, and also by the ambience and friendly atmosphere at the centre. His great dream was to work there later on and also learn to kitesurf.
Sebastien, the owner of the center, who has been assisting the young children of Essaouira for many years, made it possible for him to learn to kitesurf and it very quickly became his great passion.
Hamid is now 18 years old; he has meanwhile completed his schooling, successfully, which means that he will be able to attend university next year. Congratulations Hamid!
During the last 5 years of his school time, he spent every spare minute at the Club Mistral center, kitesurfing and helping and working at the center. Hamid is now one of the best kitesurfers in Essaouira and recently also qualified as an IKO Level 1 Instructor.
This year he participate for the first time in the “Second Edition Kite Surf Wolrdcup”. His family, friends and his brother Yassine are very proud of him.
Hamid is extremely industrious and was always the first on the scene when the centre needed tidying up or there were kites to be repaired and other jobs to be done on a day without wind.
He is a exemplary young man and motivates other local kids to join the world of surfing.
Hamid is a very cheerful person and always has a smile on his face. His friendly, helpful manner makes him very popular at the center and with our guests.

Hamid, we would like to thank you for your huge commitment and wish you all the best for the future and hope you will stay much more time with us at the Club Mistral Center in Essaouira.
