Team Member of the Month for August 2010 is Jason Falconer!
He is currently running our Club Mistral Center in Djerba.

He has already worked in Ras Sudr, Barbados and Safaga and thus brings 2 years of experience with him.

When he came to our Club Mistral & Skyriders Center in Ras Sudr in 2008, he was still quite wet behind his ears – not only regarding the work in a water sports center but also regarding kitesurfing itself. However, as he´s a person completely full of motivation and energy, he easily managed to keep to the deadline “Papa Rene”, our manager of HR & Logistics, set for him at that time. In the typical Bavarian Rene-style he told him that if he didn´t manage to get to a certain level in kitesurfing within one month, he wouldn´t be working as a kitesurfing instructor for us.

No sooner said than done, Jason started climbing up the kitesurfing career ladder with full power and learned so much within these 4 weeks that he left even Rene speechless on the beach.



Why do we tell you this story? Well, because it perfectly describes Jason’s character: even if he´s not very good at something, he will do everything possible to reach higher levels, learn more about it and finally be very good at it.

It´s not only like this when it comes to kitesurfing but in every new situation of his life. Last year he really wanted to become center manager in Djerba, but he was not ready for it yet. So he pushed the limits and gave everything. Now he is center manager in Djerba and will stay as long as he wants.

As the new boss of Club Mistral Djerba he´s fantastic!
Super motivated and always eager to learn he brings fresh blood and new ideas to the company. He´s very goood with the team and manages the sometimes difficult balancing act between being the boss and being a colleague without any problems.
Maybe it´s because his girlfriend Emma is also working with him, helping him with the accounts and the administration, the only things which are not Jason´s strong points. This is often the case with very creative people, isn´t it? They don´t really like down-to-earth stuff like numbers, organization, etc…



What Jason definitely likes is going out to party – you can have so much fun with him and his dancing is notorious! With moves like the “lawnmower” – well-known in the dancers´ world – he rocks every dance floor.

Other hobbies? Well, he´s English, so football is a very big thing in his life! Moreover he´s a pretty good cook, at least as far as 1 meal is concerned: Pasta with tuna! It seems like he eats it every single day… at least that’s what Felix from our Head Office experienced. When he visited Djerba, Jason was eager to cook for him every day – if Felix would have known that it was pasta with tuna every single night, he might have declined Jason´s offer…

Jason is a great guy! With his positive way, his special sense of humor and his contagious laughter, you just love to have him around! He´s the kind of person our company needs for the future – motivated, very good in what he´s doing, very reliable and always there when you need him, fully into his job, and with great ideas. Moreover nice with the people and everybody loves him – no matter if it´s the team on site, the Head Office team, the guests, his friends… He´s the kind of person we will never let go.

Jason, are you ready for another 15-30-40 years with Club Mistral? You´d better be!
