We are on the brink of Christmas and so we have a special surprise: December 2009 has two team members of the month instead of just one!

They are as thick as thieves and belong together like Christmas and the Christmas tree - and they just have to be mentioned together: Sweetie and Oli from Cabarete.





They´ve been working for Club Mistral for such a long time that you can easily call them an “old hand” of the company.
Whereas “old” is definitely not referring to their biological age but to their incredible experience which they´ve been gathering in the water sports and tourism sector since 1996.
Both started working for us at our Club Mistral & Skyriders Center in Cabarete which they built up with a lot of energy and effort and turned into what it is now.

Just one single time they decided to move somewhere else: in 1998/99 they were discovering other windy places all over the world and also passed by at our centers in El Yaque, Tarifa and Dahab. However they soon discovered that Cabarete is the place where they feel like home and want to spend their life.
Not surprising: Cabarete is probably one of the most beautiful destinations Club Mistral has on offer. More than enough wind and sun throughout the whole year, white, palm-lined sandy beaches, warm water and perfect conditions for any kind of water sports, no matter if kite- or windsurfing, surfing or SUP.
On top of all that Cabarete also offers a wide program on land. There´s nothing like Cabarete!

Before coming to paradise, Oli, who was born in Bielefeld, studied sports and tourism back in Germany. As soon as he finished his studies, he wanted to turn his passion into a career and decided to go to Cabarete and work as a windsurf instructor which in his case was probably the best decision.
Not only job-related but also love-wise this decision made him hit the jackpot, which was in this case Sweetie.
She actually came to Cabarete for holidays but then not only did she fall in love with the island but also with Oli for whom she uprooted herself from Germany and left her law studies behind. Not only for them, Sweetie´s decision to start a life with Oli in Cabarete, was a great thing – also for Club Mistral.
Both of them are an absolute enrichment for the company and THE dream team of our “team family”. They complement one another perfectly and the special relationship they have benefits the center, where the atmosphere couldn´t be better and more relaxed.
Oli, a rather calm and canny person, Sweetie, a bundle of energy – and as an extra bonus, their little son Levi-Blue who makes a perfect trio out of them.

Apart from windsurfing, they are crazy about anything which has to do with sports and activity, no matter if it´s jogging, yoga or kitesurfing and thus they fully enjoy everything Cabarete has on offer.
Concerning work, both of them are irreplaceable.
Oli is a fantastic instructor who has an incredible knowledge about the sports and about how to make someone love them. Sweetie is doing a great job in guest relation and her talent for languages surely makes this easy for her – she´s fluent in English, Spanish and French. Moreover she puts love into every single detail of the center and makes it something very special thanks to her creativity. What they have in common amongst other things is their brilliance in administration skills which they always execute fast and super accurate.

Oli and Sweetie: You are a perfect dream team and we cannot – and don´t want to- imagine our center in Cabarete without you anymore! Stay as you are! Here´s to many, many more common years
