Catie Brossard is definitely the best thing that happened to us in 2010 and although she has been working for Club Mistral for only quite a short time, she deserves the title “team member of the month November 2010” more than anybody else.

10 years ago Catie chose Essaouira over France and decided to live the dream of 1001 nights – nothing surprising as Essaouira is one of the windiest and most beautiful places of Morocco, an enchanting small village which casts its spell immediately over every single visitor…

Before we finally managed to win Catie over she was working for our “competitor” in Essaouira and thus collected quite a bit of experience – not only in the windsurfing business, but also the Moroccan culture, the people and their customs and traditions. Many people for sure can find it difficult to be a female boss in a Muslim country, but for Catie it´s no problem. After such a long time in Morocco she knows how to work with the boys and men around her, and so she´s not only accepted and especially respected as a boss, but also as a friend outside of the center.

She has a very strong and confident appearance and is smiley, open and positive at the same time – a special mixture which definitely makes her everybody´s darling. Moreover she´s amazingly full of energy (she MUST have a battery somewhere…) – her only 50 kg are pure power and she easily manages to motivate everybody around her, no matter if it comes to renovating the center or offering the guests a special service.  Since she has been there, the center has changed a lot; a lot of love for details, colourful decoration, all clean, tidy and organized – it´s just obvious that a motivated woman is at work! Not surprising that she will be sent down to our new center in Dakhla this winter to spread her positive energy over there and maybe push it the way she pushed Essaouira…

Catie really is a great and unique person and once you´ve met her, you sure won´t forget her. We really hope that she likes Club Mistral the way that Club Mistral likes her, and that she will stay with us forever!
