Name : Ronan Kersaudy
Born : 1972
Team member since : 1998
Prior Club Mistral Destinations : Dahab, Cape Verde, Cabarete, El Yaque
Ronan hails from Brittany and has been with Club Mistral since 1998. Although he is not our longest serving employee, he must surely be one of our best-known team members.
The locals at the centres, at any rate, still use Ronan's special Creole language. On Cape Verde, for example, or at Dahab or in El Yaque, expressions like "Yes Papa" , "Full power", "Action", "Maximum vibration" can still be heard even 3 after years.

Anyway, Ronan always comes up with a reason for a party, and also manages to motivate everyone around him at the same time - with catchcries like "The moon hasn't been as close to the earth as it is today for 200 years we've just got to have a party!” Or: «No sleeping tonight or we'll call the police».

While a sports student in France, Ronan was a professional windsurfer, becoming indoor champion in Paris in 1998. He injured himself during this event and thereupon decided to give up competition surfing. And in order to keep on windsurfing, he finally ended up commencing work with Club Mistral in Dahab.
Ronan is still an excellent windsurfer and gives professional wind- and kitesurfing instruction. His friendly, helpful manner make him very popular with our guests.
At a time when freestyle was not so well-known, he surprised his colleagues again and again with new and creative maneuvers with special names like "360 grand malheur".

Ronan was also one of the first to kitesurf. Apart from his windsurfing instructor's licence, he also has a French kitesurfing instructor's licence, obtained after an extremely arduous training course and one of the most widely accepted licences.

Ronan helped to set up a number of Club Mistral centres from scratch, amongst them the centre in Dahab, where he assisted Jürgen Stumpf in the task. He also founded his first Crazy Camel cub there, powered by Ronan.
It was in Dahab in 1999 that Ronan met Nora, which led to Nora (originally a Happy windsurfing instructor) switching to the Club Mistral team immediately. The two have been inseparable ever since and make a great team!

In 1999 Ronan was in Cabarete, where he worked with Oli and Sweetie, before taking up a new challenge and opening the Club Mistral centre on Cape Verde one year later, having set it up within a very short space of time.
Thank you very much Ronan and all the best for the future!
