Prior Club Mistral Destinations : El Yaque, Gran Canaria, Boavista, Alacati, Safaga, Mauritius
This time we would like to tell you something about Daniel Bichler, our Member of the Month for March 2005. Although only 25, Daniel has been working for Club Mistral for 7 years now.
He started off in El Yaque at the tender age of 18, spendinghis first season there. This season was followed by further seasons in Gran Canaria, Alacati and Safaga. He also worked for a French company, headed by Jean-Marie Vincent, on Boavista.
Daniel began kitesurfing in Safaga, where he also turned his new skill to advantage and completed his training as a kitesurf instructor. He is extremely talented at all sports - a talent he inherited from his parents, Yola and Toni Bichler, who spent a long time on Corsica when he was growing up. Corsica is his second home and it was there that he acquired his love of nature. He also learnt to windsurf in record time and began freestyling in El Yaque, where he received tips from Dioni, the 'local hero' of Isla Margarita at that time! His first contact with a windsurf board was at the age of 6 months! Of course, the fact that he is never afraid to try out a maneuver and practised his first kite jumps at the age of 5 - from the balcony into the garden! - also helps.
Daniel is a very good, attentive instructor, who enjoys great popularity with our guests. He enjoys a good laugh, which always creates a positive atmosphere in the groups. His weakness for kittens has meanwhile enriched the Bichler household with a number of 'holiday souvenirs' - Daniel simply likes to adopt stray animals. Rumour also has it that he has a nocturnal habit of raiding the drink stores of blond, Dominican female colleagues, although he has presumably long since been forgiven.
His likeable, friendly manner attracts the admiration of the other sex and his well-proportioned weight gain since he has been on Mauritius probably plays a role here …
Ah yes, Mauritius - he has found a temporary haven there. He loves this island paradise and its friendly locals and for him the spot is an absolute dream. The conditions meet almost all his wishes.
Daniel is doing an especially good job as stand-in Centre Manager. Together with the team, he sees to every detail in a highly reliable manner and performs his administrative tasks in an exemplary fashion!
He can be proud of the work he performs for Club Mistral and it is largely his influence that gives unity to the team. Daniel is a valuable addition to Club Mistral and we hope he will continue to work for us for a long time!
