Team Member of the Month in June is Matrix, a Mauritian by birth, who has been with us since 2003, when Club Mistral first opened its doors on Mauritius.
 
His tasks at the centre include board repair, windsurfing instruction, and service, which is considered very important on Mauritius.  
Windsurfing is his great passion. Within only 2 1/2 years Matrix has perfected his windsurfing skills to such an extent that he can be said to have become a freestyle professional. He is also an excellent wave windsurfer as well as being a keen and good instructor.
Matrix is not only well known for his excellent windsurfing skills but also for his boating skills. Better known under the name of "Captain of the Rescue Boat", Matrix can steer the rescue boat better and more safely than anyone else, and can do so even in high-wave conditions – and we mean high! – When nobody else is prepared to venture out on the water at all. He knows every reef and stone in the lagoon at Le Morne.

His friendly, calm and very helpful manner makes him especially popular with the team and our guests.
Matrix has a very good sense of humour and is fun to be with; he loves cracking jokes, which are accompanied by mimicry and gestures, making everybody laugh and creating a great atmosphere in the team and amongst our guests.
His second great love is playing the guitar and singing. His self-composed Mauritian songs make him a real VIP at the weekly BBQ at the centre.
We would also like to let you in on the fact that Matrix has also been a proud father since 24th May. He and Véronique married a year ago and are now a threesome, after the birth of their small daughter.
The Club Mistral team wishes Matrix and his family all the best and hopes that he will stay with Club Mistral for a long time to come – until his daughter can take over the reins from her father.
