Name : Jean Charles Galey-Jamier
Born : 1978
Team member since : 2003
Prior Club Mistral Destinations : El Yaque, Tarifa, Mauritius
To round off the year, we would like to introduce a popular, mercurial team member, currently working in Mauritius - Jean-Charles Galey Jamier, who hails from Brittany.
Born in 1978, "JC", as his friends call him, first worked for Club Mistral in El Yaque, where he made lots of friends and taught kitesurfing to numerous enthusiastic guests, The team he worked with at that time is never at a loss for good stories about him and everybody knows him as a colleague who is always in a good mood and ready for a party. As his friend Ronan says, he has the 'party gene' - but he is smart at the same time: after getting everybody into the swing of things, he himself may possibly disappear at about 1 a.m. to get enough sleep for his morning kitesurf sessions. He exudes a positive team spirit combined with boundless energy in every situation. We are very pleased that our Corporate Identity finds such favour with him - according to eyewitness reports, he has been sighted in "Los Piratos" wearing the Skyriders lycra, earning him special bonus points! The only time he appears at all tense is when he isn't out on the water.
Kitesurfing is not only his job, but also his life and great passion! he enjoys taking part in competitions, with exotic equipment, too (beginner's kite in the Mauritius Kite Challenge). He loves to put on a show, performing impressive jumps and even extending the competition zone to the beach. His nickname, "Monsieur Bricolage", can be traced back to the fact that he is always trying to improve his equipment and tinkering with it. The ensuing chaos sometimes makes his colleagues pretty annoyed…
However, it was in Tarifa that Jean-Charles performed his best and most famous stunt: a double loop with a VW van. The latter was a total writeoff, but Jean-Charles stepped out of it completely unharmed.
Jean-Charles is a very reliable, good kitesurf instructor and his pupils achieve maximum learning success, speaking with enthusiasm about his cheerful, friendly and, nevertheless, competent manner: Even in rainy weather, he wins everybody around, because the sun is already shining by the time he reaches the kitesurf beach!
Jean-Charles is also a keen and very proficient windsurfer. Water is his element, one in which this Frenchman feels at home.
Jean Charles has become a very important member of the Club Mistral team in the last few years and we would like to thank him for his magnificent work. We are convinced that, with him, we have taken an excellent kitesurf instructor on board - the numerous enthusiastic reports from our guests speak for themselves!!
