We have chosen Dani as our Team Member of the Month for the carnival month of February 2005.

She has been working at head office since August 2002, but we have all known her for many years. Yola even remembers the time when Dani was still kicking around inside her mummy's womb.

Dani has always loved travelling around the globe, so her career choice was soon as clear as crystal: she was going to work in the tourism industry. It all began at the Alpina Travel Agency in Tutzing, where she served an apprenticeship after finishing her schooling. Having completed her training, she moved on to "Happy" in Munich and started her surfing career there. Yola then got her a job at "Surf & Action Company"; she would have liked to already employ Dani at Club Mistral even then, but we didn't have our own travel agency atthat stage. Eventually, however, things did work out with us after all, because Dani was eager to go abroad and there was a vacant internship position at the Club Mistral Centre in Cabarete.

Dani is always ready for a laugh and generally manages to cheer everybody at head office out of their Monday morning blues or 'low' (which we seldom feel).

Her open-minded attitude makes her perfect for her job here; she is the contact person for all tour operator questions and is continuously searching for new partners who would like to cooperate with us. She keeps partners posted, writes our newsletter and organizes the annual tour-operator meeting at Lake Starnberg. In addition, she takes care of the Club Mistral website. Possessing lots of imagination, she comes up with new, original texts for the Internet and never overlooks a point that needs updating, thus ensuring up-to-the-minute news at all times.

A special highlight is the tour operator information trip to our centres, which she organises and then also joins in order to ensure that everything runs smoothly. She is a great conversationalist, takes good care of our partners and motivates everybody to join the lively parties held at night, even after strenuous, information-packed days. These trips are always a whopping success, with everybody returning home happy and with fabulous impressions and memories.

Dani is also a skiing enthusiast. She has been working as a ski instructor with the Alpina Ski School for many years and has always had a lot of fun. She is a keen participant in further-training courses and ski-instructor meetings over the weekend and her eyes gleam when she tells us about them afterwards.

Dani is a very sociable person and loves meeting people - be it during carnival, when she joins several other girls in a lively dance group and celebrates until the wee hours of the morning, or during Munich's Oktoberfest, which she attends in traditional Bavarian garb, a passionate representative of our Bavarian homeland.

Dani has been living happily with her partner, Jörg, directly on the shores of Lake Starnberg for many years. Their home sometimes becomes a dog kennel, too, because Dani is a great animal lover. So the two of them don't mind taking in one of their colleagues' or friends' dogs for a few days in order to see what it would be like to have a dog of their own one day …. or perhaps not? You never know.

We always have a lot of fun with our Dani and would like to thank her for her commitment, which has made such a valuable contribution to the success of Club Mistral and Skyriders. We appreciate her as a helpful, friendly colleague and love her as a Club Mistral team member.
